There are very few music artists that I dislike more than Nickelback. They garner very little respect in the professional music industry, and are constantly ripped on by critics, and for good reason.
Anyone who has a clue about singing, can detect the fake tenor voice that they use. This is the fake low gravely vocal sound that they are known for. It is a forced, unnatural vocal tone, that sounds very obvious to most musicians and is like musical kryptonite. Another really bad example of this is Hinder. Hinder's vocalist does the fake tenor to the extreme, and it sounds horrible. What garbage! If you like Nickelback, it is probably because you like to listen to the same song over and over. Check out the MP3 clip of "How You Remind Me" and "Someday". It is the same song with different words. For Real! It has the same breaks, and breakdowns, right down to the second. I guess you could say that when you find a good formula you should stick with it. Well, they are laughing all the way to the bank!
Needless to say, you will never hear Dirt Cheap!!! do a Nickelback cover song!
